Dr. Gregory Leach and staff at Advanced Medical Center - http://www.advancedmedicalcanter.com - opened their state-of-the-art medical facility on Monday, July 19 to Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill McCollum, who held a press conference at the center to announce his plan to improve access to affordable, quality health care in Florida.

McCollum’s five-point plan includes a focus on market-based solutions that provide greater choice and flexibility to consumers. This was good news for Dr. Leach since his family practice and urgent care center delivers coordinated care through several levels of service such as laboratory, occupational medicine, digital imaging, and pharmacy. In fact, during the press conference, McCollum remarked on the importance of coordinated care models because they “result in better health outcomes and lower costs to the state, in great part by ensuring access to preventive care and avoiding costly visits to emergency rooms.”

“Physicians should be able to provide quality care in quality environments,” stated Dr. Leach, who, with a staff of over 50 healthcare professionals, is able to offer this level of high quality medical attention to patients seven days a week and for extended hours each day. McCollum, whose candidacy is endorsed by the FMA, saw the results of Dr. Leach’s philosophy during a tour of the eco-friendly, patient-centric medical facility immediately following the press conference.

“To me, the doctor-patient relationship is sacred,” said McCollum to media and guests during the press conference. To Dr. Leach, it’s the centerpiece of why he created Advanced Medical Center.

Located at 1250 Pine Ridge Road, Advanced Medical Center is an environmentally friendly Family Practice and Urgent Care facility whose laboratory department recently met all the criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA, a national health care accreditation organization that is approved by the federal government.

Advanced Medical Center has extended hours 7 days a week, and an on site laboratory, digital x-ray, and a generics-only pharmacy. Schedule an appointment at (239) 566-7676.
